Some things you see with your eyes...others you see with your heart!

Through a cat’s eyes

During a routine inspection a legendary veterinarian looked us in the eyes said….” The reason you are still in business raising cats after this many years is no doubt because of the cleanliness provided to these felines on a daily basis.”

At the risk of sounding like a crazy cat lady, I will define in my own words why it is I do what I do .

I often visualize the cat’s as real human beings, they just happen to have two extra legs and a tail.

I try to mentally climb in their mindset and think about life through their eyes.

What would I like, what I dislike and most of all, what would I want creatures to do for me that would enrich my life to its fullest potential.

I would like fresh crystal clear drinking water with an ice cube added every now and then.

I would like fresh, clean bedding daily and placed in spots throughout the house with the sunbeams hitting me.

Knowing the thoughts and feelings that we have all had upon entering a dirty restroom and turning and walking away silently saying to ourselves. I’ll just wait.

I think about what must go through a kitten or cat’s head with an approach the dirty litter pan, therefore daily dumping and bleaching of the pans is merely showing respect for our feline friends.

I would like fresh food offered to me on a daily basis sanitary dishes, after all, I can’t clean them myself.

I would like toys to keep me entertained and invigorate my mind.

I would like owners to look me in the eye and know above all else in this crazy world that my love for them is endless and to understand my heart beats too.

I think it is because I do try and imagine life as a cat that makes me care so deeply for a critter that is forever dependent upon my care giving.

I think we all took the time to stop and imagine what life would be like in another’s shoes (or paws) , this world would be a much more understanding and loving place.

These are just my thoughts typed out for the world to see in an effort that maybe just one person, will stop and think about life through your furry friends eyes.
