Welcome to The Cozy Kitten Cattery
Auhhh...two of my all time worse weaknesses....children and kitty's!
Our love for the divine Persian & Himalayan cat started back nearly
19 years ago when we started our family and wanted to raise our
son with a kitty. We thought we were buying a female, her name was Jenna.
At a routine vet visit we found out Jenna was a male!
We were in shock to say the least.
We called the breeder we bought Jenna from and she offered a free
female to us and the option to breed her to Jenna.
Then renamed Jetta.
So our journey began.
Now 4 children and many happy customers later we are still doing what
we do best....."Making dreams come true, one family at a time."
It is a job that requires us to be "On Call" 24 hours a day
365 days a year....leaving no time for sick days, nor vacation days.
But the rewards of blessing a family that has lost their beloved pet,
and knowing we were used as instruments to help them pick up the
pieces and move on., has been well worth it to us.
To be a secret between a newly married couple...and help the
groom...
trying ever so hard to surprise his new bride with a kitten of her dreams.
And of course the children, to be a witness to their joy when they first
spy the kitten they have always begged their parents for....
Being in the same room as someone shouts...
"Happy Birthday Honey!"
and places a small kitten into eagerly outstretched arms.
It all makes it all worthwhile.
A job I feel fortunate and honored to hold.
As our number of cats grew we had no choice but to ...
build the kitties their very first home.
We had no idea back then, how long this would last or how
far we would go.
I'm a firm believer in you get what give in this life.
This has proven to be very true for me.
We have poured our hearts & souls into our cattery...
mixed with blood, sweat & tears, but always
coated in love.
The extreme success our cattery has reached would NOT be possible
without our wonderful children.
Three beautiful girls ALWAYS eager to help with the kitty's and one incredibly
caring, gentle son. All raised with incredible respect for animals and the
constant desire to play and comfort each of them.
I think the love, respect and dedication we all uphold for our kitty's shines
brightly in each and every Cozy Kitten produced from our cattery.
I remember once, playing the lottery when the stakes were quite high
over 30 million dollars.
And as many do from time to time while they wait for the numbers to fall,
we dreamed of what we would do with that much money.....
Of course a new house and cars were on the list...but my biggest dream
of all was the kind of beautiful castle I would have
built for my cats!!
No, I never won the lottery, but I can
honestly say...if I ever do....
I would still be right here...
breeding Cozy Kittens...because I've come to discover....
some things money just can't buy...
And the most precious thing in life is love, the kind of love I hold
for my cats and all my kitty clients.
I never got my castle, but in the summer of 2001 we did build a
new cattery. One that was a little bit bigger and facing
my kitchen window...so I can watch my breeders as they played
outside in their runways.
The cattery is where the adult cats live and new lives begin
Once the Mama cats are pregnant...they are moved into our home
where the nursery is located.
The kitten's never have access outside to the cattery & are
always lovingly raised within our home & extremely well socialized
by my husband and I and our four children.
This allows the babies to become part of our family.
As they grow and mature. Until it is time for them to go and share
their love, life and cute kitten antics with their new families.
Our cattery is known for two things, the exceptional health of our
cats/kittens and their wonderful loving dispositions.
Both of which are goals we take VERY serious.
Below you will see pictures of our cattery...both inside and out.
Yes, you will see cages...This ensures that we know who is the
father to all litters.
Structure is very important in our cattery, so that we know
"Who" fathered which litters.
The cages are used to separate the Toms from the females when they are in heat.
This ensures an accurate breeding and due date.
All cages on the west side of the cattery have outside runways.
This way kitty can enjoy basking outside in the sun!:)
Daily attention, affection and socialization are all extremely
important to our breeding program here at Cozy Kitten Cattery.
We spare no expense, and devote hours to both their physical needs
and mental health.
Well...that is our story. Our cats are passion.

 Note: All runways all closed and locked up every night.
Camera's in the cattery help us to view what's happening in there at all times.
