Welcome to the Persian Tabby Class Room
Please take your seats & let's get started.
Ok, first off it's important to know that tabby is not a color...it is a pattern.
They come in three patterns: classic, mackerel and patched tabby.
The patched tabby may have either the classic or mackerel pattern with small patches of red.
The classic tabby has a bulls eye marking on the side of the body.
The mackerel has "swirls" throughout the body.
The tabbies often bear a striking resemblance to an exotic jungle cat.
Their disposition is fun, outgoing. They are very playful and incredibly smart.
The tabbies exhibit a classic "M" on their forehead.
Here are some colors of tabbies we have achieved at Cozy Kitten Cattery:
Chocolate tabby
Blue/silver tabby
Silver tabby
Brown patched tabby
All have brilliant copper eyes
